How To Integrate Alia with Yotpo

What is Alia?

Alia is a Shopify tool for customer engagement and conversion. It lets you create multimedia lessons about your business and products, and includes interactive questions and polls to engage users and gather information on their preferences. Users can earn small discounts for participating, boosting their confidence and investment in your brand. To claim discounts, users provide basic contact info, which can be automatically sent to Yotpo if integrated. Here's how to set up the integration.

How to integrate Alia with Yotpo

Setting up the Yotpo integration on Alia only takes a couple minutes. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to install Alia from the Shopify app store.

Once installed, open your Alia dashboard in the Shopify admin, and navigate to the Integrations page.

At the bottom, under Yotpo, click “Connect”.

You’ll be redirected to Yotpo, where you’ll be prompted to review access permissions. Click Connect.

Finally, you’ll be redirected back to Alia to choose lists to subscribe your sign ups to. You can pick one list for SMS sign ups and another list for email sign ups.

If you don't choose a specific list, they will be added to your default marketing list.

Click Save, and that’s it! All sign ups on Alia will now automatically be subscribed to Yotpo.

How does Alia integrate with Yotpo?

When a customer signs up on Alia and consents to receiving marketing emails or texts, we’ll subscribe their contact info to the list chosen by you. In addition, all on-site Shopify events such as “Viewed Product” or “Active on Site” will be attributed to the Yotpo profiles.

Alia will also send custom events when a customer answers a poll or claims a reward via Alia. This means you can use these events to trigger your flows if a shopper has done one or the other within Alia.

There’s no manual effort required on your part — once the integration is set up, Alia will handle everything automatically, and your Yotpo flows will work as expected.
