CHALLENGES

Sluggish Testing, Poor UX, and Platform Bias with Wunderkind

Before Alia, Vessi was using Wunderkind for both triggered emails and website popups. But the team quickly hit roadblocks.

Testing was a bottleneck. Creative updates required lengthy back-and-forths, with mockups taking up to two weeks to launch.

It made agile testing impossible.

Despite sending high volumes of quality traffic, Vessi’s popup conversion rates plateaued between 4% and 7%, hitting 9% only during sale events.

Worse, they couldn’t fully control which flow the website visitor would enter. Wunderkind’s bias toward abandonment flows meant that Vessi’s welcome series, where the brand shared their story and offers, wasn’t reaching enough visitors.

The popup’s UX didn’t feel intuitive. Adding deeper logic (like gender or shopping preference tags) took months to implement and eventually failed.

They needed more than a form. They needed a growth lever that let them easily test, optimize, and scale without friction.

SOLUTION

Interactive Popups Built to Convert

When they moved triggered emails (from Wunderkind) to Klaviyo, Vessi took the opportunity to upgrade their popups too, and chose Alia. With Alia, they were up and running in less than a day.
